From 11 to 15 May 2026, Lodz University of Technology hosted the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Emotional Intelligence & SDGs in Action”, organised by the International Cooperation Centre.
The programme brought together 16 students from Riga Technical University (RTU), 5 students from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and local students from TUL, creating an international space for collaboration and exchange.
Participants engaged in a dynamic programme combining interactive workshops, the #edu4sdgs Game, an immersive Black World experience, and a debate tournament, moderated by Toms Kreicbergs (RTU). Students were supported throughout by academic staff, including Daniel Franco Puntes (UAB).
Through hands-on activities, students developed skills in empathy, communication, ethical reasoning, and sustainability advocacy, learning how to translate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into practical actions. The programme concluded with video presentations, where participants shared their personal SDG perspectives.
In recognition of their achievements, participants will receive micro-credentials, certifying the competences gained during the programme.
The BIP highlighted the importance of combining emotional intelligence with sustainability education to empower students as active agents of change.
