Building a Comprehensive Educational Ecosystem for Sustainable Development Goals

The edu4sdgs project empowers individuals to take meaningful action toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by developing emotional intelligence (EQ).

It will create the SDGs University Knowledge Hub, offering educational pathways, and tools to enhance both EQ and SDG-related skills, along with inspiring trainings and e-learning courses.

By integrating EQ with SDG education, the project fosters a more compassionate, resilient, and proactive global community. It bridges personal growth with global impact to cultivate a new generation of emotionally intelligent changemakers.

About

The #edu4sdgs project is on a mission to empower individuals - students, university staff, decision-makers, educators, and lifelong learners - to take meaningful action toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the heart of the project lies a powerful idea: to achieve real change, we need more than knowledge - we need emotional intelligence (EQ).

Gifted leadership occurs when heart and head - feeling and thought - meet.
These are the two winds that allow a leader to soar.

Daniel Goleman

Based on the globally recognized Six Seconds EQ model, the project focuses on developing two essential emotional skills: Increasing Empathy and Pursuing Noble Goals. These competencies help people connect deeply with others, align their actions with purpose, and become true agents of change in their communities.

To bring this vision to life, the project will create the SDGs University Knowledge Hub – an online learning space offering various educational pathways, and tools to develop both EQ and SDG-related skills. Project participants will also have a chance to engage in inspiring trainings, webinars, and a vibrant summer school experience. A specially designed city game will invite them to experience the SDGs through the lens of emotional intelligence, turning learning into a powerful, personal adventure.

By introducing micro-credentials, the project also responds to the changing landscape of education - offering flexible, accessible, and meaningful learning opportunities that align with labour market needs.
