In May 2025 consortium members met in the vibrant city of Riga for a strategic project meeting, held alongside a lively Summer School for students and academic staff. The event brought together participants from all partner institutions to actively engage with the project’s core themes, particularly around education for sustainable development and emotional intelligence.

During the project meeting, partners held in-depth discussions on the micro-credentials and digital badges that will be issued as part of the project learning pathways. The consortium explored various recognition models and debated the structure, value, and criteria for earning these credentials, with a focus on aligning them with the project’s educational goals and broader EU standards.

Another key area of focus was the SDGs Uni Hub, educational platform being developed within the project. Partners reviewed the platform’s planned structure, content modules, and user interface, ensuring it will serve as an accessible and engaging resource for both educators and learners interested in sustainable development.

Looking ahead, the team also conducted preliminary planning for the webinars to be delivered under Work Package 5. These online events will aim to broaden the project’s outreach, sharing knowledge, tools, and best practices with a wider audience of educators, students, and institutional stakeholders.

A major highlight of the week was the Summer School, which featured a blend of interactive workshops, collaborative group tasks, and reflective sessions. Students and staff engaged with real-world sustainability challenges, developing their skills in critical thinking, intercultural communication, and civic engagement.

The Riga meeting confirmed the strong alignment and shared commitment across the consortium to deliver practical, impactful outcomes that will enhance the role of education in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The team now looks ahead to finalizing the project’s core tools and to sharing its results with the broader academic community.
