Emotional Intelligence
Education Space
Learning pathway summary
This course introduces emotional intelligence (EQ) as both a psychological concept and a practical competence that shapes how we learn, communicate, cope with stress, and build relationships in academic, professional, and personal contexts. It is designed to support learners in moving from awareness to more conscious use of emotions in everyday situations.
Participants will explore how emotions influence thinking, learning, decision-making, and interpersonal interactions. The course focuses on key components of emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, communication, and motivation. Learners will develop a better understanding of their own emotional patterns and how these affect behaviour and relationships.
The course places strong emphasis on practical application. Through reflective activities and exercises, participants will learn how to recognize and manage emotional responses, cope with stress, communicate more effectively, and build more constructive interactions with others. Attention is also given to motivation, goal setting, and maintaining emotional balance in academic and professional environments.
By the end of the course, participants will have gained increased emotional awareness and a set of practical tools that can support more effective communication, improved relationships, and everyday well-being.
Learning is based on a combination of short lectures, readings, case studies, multimedia materials, and guided self-reflection exercises. Participants are encouraged to engage actively with the content and apply the concepts in their own experiences.
